Certification in Humanitarian Logistics (CHL) Scholarship
Fritz Institute Scholarship
Fritz Institute is pleased to announce the 2009 CHL/CLH Scholarship. The scholarship is offered
as a means to encourage participation in the Certification in Humanitarian
Logistics (CHL) programme, particularly among individuals who would find it
difficult to participate in the programme without financial assistance
CHL was developed by Fritz Institute along with its humanitarian partners ICRC,
IRC, MSF-Holland, Oxfam GB, Save the Children US, UNHCR, UNICEF, and WFP, with
funding from DFID, ECHO and USAID, Fritz Institute and its private donors, with
the goal to increase the professional skills of logisticians in the humanitarian
supply chain, thereby raising the effectiveness of emergency response to
vulnerable populations worldwide.
Fritz Institute will award ten (10) scholarships of £1145 in December 2009, to
cover the fees for the CHL course.
Eligibility
The scholarship is offered to qualifying individuals who will not receive
funding from their organizations for their professional development. Applicants
must have at least one (1) year of humanitarian field experience to be
considered and will be required to provide evidence of their ability to
successfully complete the course and apply the skills in a humanitarian setting.
Francophone and female logisticians are especially encouraged to apply.

Deadlines
Applications will be available on September 21, 2009 and must be submitted
electronically or received by mail no later than October 31, 2009. Fritz
Institute will evaluate all applications received by the deadline. Recipients of
the scholarship will be notified of the award after December 1, 2009.
Scholarship terms
Scholarship award winners will be asked to complete the CHL program within 2
years of the enrollment date and will be asked to provide periodic updates on
progress in the course.

(CLH)
Fritz Institute Certification
Fritz Institute a l’honneur d’annoncer le lancement des bourses d’études 2009 de Certification
en Logistique Humanitaire (CLH). Cette bourse est proposée comme un moyen d’encourager la
participation à la Certification en Logistique Humanitaire (CLH).
CLH a été développé par le Fritz Institute avec ces partenaires humanitaires CIRC, IRC, MSF-Holland,
Oxfam GB, PAM, Save the Children US, UNHCR, et UNICEF, avec l’aide financière du DFID, ECHO et USAID,
Fritz Institute et leurs donateurs. L’objectif de cette formation est d’améliorer les compétences
professionnelles des logisticiens sur le terrain humanitaire afin de renforcer l’efficacité des réponses
d’urgence aux populations vulnérables partout dans le monde.
Dix (10) bourses d’une valeur de GBP 1,145 chacune qui couvriront l’intégralité des frais du CLH seront
remises en decembre 2009.
Conditions d’Admission
Sont concernées les personnes qui ont l’intention de financer leur propre participation à ce cours,
c'est-à-dire, qui ne recevront pas de financement de leurs organisations. Les candidats doivent avoir
au moins douze (12) mois d’expérience sur le terrain. Les candidats doivent également pouvoir nous
convaincre de leur disponibilité de compléter la formation et par la suite d’utiliser les compétences
acquises dans un milieu humanitaire. Nous encourageons particulièrement les candidatures féminines et francophones.

Dates limite
Les inscriptions doivent nous parvenir par email ou par courrier au plus tard le 31 octobre 2009.
Fritz Insitute évaluera toute inscription qui arrive dans ce délai. Les bénéficiaires des bourses
seront notifiés après le 1er décembre, 2009.
Termes de cette bourse
Les bénéficiaires de la bourse doivent terminer la certification dans les 2 ans d’inscription et il
y aura demande de fournir des rapports d’activité au cours de leur formation.
