Humanitarian Logistics Certification Program - 2011 Scholarship Program
|
|
Fritz Institute is pleased to announce the 2011 Scholarships for the Humanitarian
Logistics Certification Program (HLCP). In total, thirty (30) full-tuition
scholarships will be awarded: ten (10) each for Certification in Humanitarian
Logistics (CHL), Certification en Logistique Humanitaire (CLH), and Certification
in Humanitarian Medical Logistics Practices (MedLog).
The objective of the program is to support individuals who are 1) in a position
to positively effect change within their organizations and improve the lives of
beneficiaries, and 2) who would otherwise be unable to participate in these
courses without financial assistance.

Eligibility
|
|
|
The scholarship is offered to qualifying individuals who will not receive
funding from their organizations for their professional development.
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of logistics (or medical if applying
to MedLog) experience with a humanitarian organization to be considered and
will be required to provide evidence
of their ability to successfully complete the course and apply the
skills in a humanitarian setting. Female logisticians are especially
encouraged to apply.

Application forms (in English) are available here for CHL
and here for MedLog.
The application form may be downloaded here for CLH (en français). ALL candidates
must submit a completed application form. To strengthen their application,
candidates are encouraged to supply a letter of recommendation, on official
letterhead, from their current or former employers. No other documentation
will be considered for the application. Completed applications should be
submitted to info@fritzinstitute.org.

To be considered, all applications and any supporting letters of recommendation
must be received no later than midnight GMT, 15 October, 2011. No documents
(whether applications or supporting letters) received beyond that date, will be considered.

Selection Process
|
|
All applications will be reviewed by the Fritz Institute. For each
course, thirty (30) candidates will be down-selected. A peer group
of Certification course graduates will review the down-selected
candidates and make the final selections.
Candidates will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Financial need - the inability of the candidates and their organization to provide the required funding for training;
- Disseminate the competencies - the candidate's potential to support logistics improvements within their organization and to help develop colleagues' competencies;
- Positively affect the lives of beneficiaries - the candidate's potential to apply the competences to improve beneficiaries' lives.

Scholarship Terms & Conditions
|
|
|
All submitted applications are the property of Fritz Institute on
behalf if its humanitarian partners. Applicants acknowledge and
give permission for their name and that of their organization to
be published by Fritz Institute and its partners as part of its
publicizing activities for the HLCP. Applicants also acknowledge
and give permission for the Fritz Institute to share their
applications with interested parties.

PROGRAMME DE CERTIFICATION EN LOGISTIQUE HUMANITAIRE - Bourses d'Études 2011
|
|
Fritz Institute a l'honneur d'annoncer le lancement des bourse
d'études 2011 de la Programme de Certification en Logistique
Humanitaire (PCLH). Trente (30) plein de scolarité bourses
seront attribuées pour trois cours: dix (10) pour chacun des
CHL, CLH, et MedLog.
L'objectif du programme est de soutenir les personnes qui sont
en mesure d'effectuer un changement positif au sein de leurs
organisations et améliorer la vie des bénéficiaires, et qui,
autrement, serait incapable de participer à ces cours sans aide financière.

Admissibilité
|
|
|
Sont concernées les personnes qui ont l'intention de financer leur
propre participation à ce cours, c'est-à-dire, qui ne recevront pas
de financement de leurs organisations. Les candidats doivent avoir
au moins un (1) an d'expérience sur le terrain. Les candidats
doivent également pouvoir nous convaincre de leur disponibilité de
compléter la formation et par la suite d'utiliser les compétences
acquises dans un milieu humanitaire. Nous encourageons particulièrement
les candidatures féminines.

Le formulaire de demande de CLH est disponible ici.
S'il vous plaît noter le cours MedLog est enseignée en anglais seulement.
Tous les candidats doivent soumettre un formulaire de demande
dûment rempli. Afin de renforcer leur demande, les candidats
sont encouragés à fournir une lettre de recommandation, sur papier
à entête officiel, de leurs employeurs actuels ou anciens. Pas
d'autres documents seront considérés pour l'application. Pour
être considéré, toutes les formulaire de demande et les lettres
d'appui de recommandation doivent être reçues a

Procédure de Sélection
|
|
Toutes les demandes seront examinées par l'Institut Fritz. Pour chaque
cours, trente (30) candidats seront bas-sélectionnés. Un groupe de pairs
des anciens élèves de l'HLCP seront invités à choisir les récipiendaires
des bourses, parmi les candidats bas-sélectionnés.
Les candidats seront évalués sur les critères suivants:
- Les besoins financiers - l'incapacité des candidats et leur organisation à fournir le financement requis pour la formation;
- Diffuser les compétences - le potentiel du candidat pour appuyer les améliorations de la logistique au sein de leur organisation et pour aider à développer les compétences des collègues, et,
- Influer positivement sur la vie des bénéficiaires - le potentiel du candidat à appliquer les compétences pour améliorer la vie des bénéficiaires.

Termes et Conditions de cette Bourse
|

|
Toutes les applications présentées sont la propriété de Fritz Institute au
nom si ses partenaires humanitaires. Les candidats reconnaissent et donner
la permission à leur nom et celui de leur organisation à être publié par
Fritz Institute et ses partenaires dans le cadre de ses activités pour faire
connaître le HLCP.
