To take charge of our destiny, mutually support our members and develop a common voice in serving the most vulnerable by achieving models of excellence in good governance, service delivery and advocacy in a sustainable manner.

MEMBERSHIP
NEPARC is open to all the African National Societies who are members in good standing of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (the Federation) and who agree to undergo a third-party audit of their organization.

The founder members include Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies from: Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Libya, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Fritz Institute.
 
   
 
 
By outsourcing so much of relief to international organizations, our communities miss the opportunity to build our long-term capacity to care for ourselves and the relief process misses out on the unique local knowledge of infrastructure, culture and aid supplies sourcing that we bring.
